August 2022
Bring on August!
One meaning of August is illustrious (noted, brilliant, admired) and in my corner of the world, August is the most illustrious month of summer, as it promises the hottest days, the ripest fruit and that most urgent sense that shorter days are coming and that even with all this abundance, we must squeeze in just a little more—before it slips away.
What does August mean to you?
I’d LOVE to hear!

Hue & Me
Tropical colors are those that have emerged from the cultures, history and nature surrounding warm places near the Equator—particularly island nations and seaside destinations. Because of these associations, this inviting green + blue feels both lively & invigorating as well as relaxing & restorative.
Design Inspired
Art is just lines and color that together or alone create the shapes, which we assign meaning and memory to. When we “design” a scrapbook page, we move basic shapes around to accomplish the purpose of our storytelling.
What if we actually made it this simple?!

I took this photo of the tropical sea along the Napali Coast on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai. Notice the beautiful, natural lines and the colors that are both simple and interesting.
The more we train our eye to see what’s essential in our photos, our days, our work, our families and our lives, the more confident we’ll become at creating and documenting what matters most.
Live Your Story is a bit like a smorgasbord (by design), but remember, you get to take in exactly what you need and want to stay inspired and productive.
But wait, there’s more …
✅ I’ve got something NEW for all my friends who have asked for a way to more easily track ALL there is to (potentially) do each month in Live Your Story!
I’m calling this the LYS Monthly Tracker. This printable will allow you to note what you have printed, watched, listened to and attended—here is where you can note challenges you are working on and the assignments that speak to YOU.
Simply click the image or the words below the image to open up a printable PDF. Then print and fold in half to attach to a mini clipboard, like these.
