Playing in Summer!

I LOVE the idea of a summer break. Who’s ready for more freedom, leisure and adventure? I am and I know after many years of memory keeping that a little less structure—even if it’s just mentally—is not only welcome but creatively beneficial. I’m giving you permission in July to ease up on expectations and your ideal routine to emphasize the “live” in Live Your Story. Let’s get out there and make FUN memories!

Hue & Me

A brilliant blue sky and white puffy clouds floating above a lush canopy of palm trees. Is there anything more inviting than an island adventure? Most would agree that humanity in general is fascinated with an island vibe and culture, so our color combination this month will get you most of the way there. Since we’re focused on playing this summer, I’m curious IF you were to add a splash of another color to Island Adventure, which would it be?

🌈 Let’s create this month with bright blue, happy green, lots of white and __________, __________ or __________. I can’t wait to SEE!

If you think about it, kites only fly when there’s wind. The tension between wind and the opposing pull of the string is what keeps it afloat. We often think productivity happens in the absence of any struggle, but even people and objects at play require resistance for full engagement. Expect opposition. Playing then and now is how you learn to do what you love even when life feels unpredictable and challenging.
