Clustering

If you’ve wanted to study and practice up on the skill of clustering, watch THIS replay! We had a great time reviewing some key design principles and Stacy, following a sketchβ€”with advice and coaching from member, Barbra Oβ€”created this page to satisfy the Everyday Life topic for her July’s Project24 …

Note from Stacy: I had placed the bottom right photo in my Everyday Life album (inside Photos on my iPhone), then when it came time to print additional photos, I used the built-in Places album in Photos on my iPhone to locate more photos on a map.

 

Stacy created a few slides to walk us through some examples of well designed clustering.

Here are a FEW helpful clustering tips:

  1. Select one or more photos to adhere with dimensional adhesive, to create space for layering smaller elements. This allows you to easily tuck and layer little bits and pieces under and around your photos.

  2. Repeat elements element shapes and colors to draw attention to your photos AND to simplify your design.

  3. Consider placing cluster groups at the point of a triangle. See Barbra’s page below …
