When traveling, I LOVE to seek out and visit libraries—and no, I did not take the above photos—but I have visited and photographed libraries in places like New York City, Grand Cayman and Wallace, Idaho (which boasts one of the Carnegie libraries!) Libraries are important, interesting and inviting.

🏠 This week we focus on our homes and the potential they have to become a library of memories!

Pictured below is our music & memory room—just off the entrance of my home. It feels like I’m always updating and tweaking this space, but I’ve done a fairly extensive refresh over the last 6 months as I have updated ALL of my Library Albums (in the 4 categories of This is US, PEOPLE We Love, PLACES to Remember and All The THINGS). There are still things I want to update, but that’s the beauty of a library. There will always be new scrapbooks and collections to feature and work to do to properly care for and archive family treasures.

We have a two-part video this week: Part 1 is a tour of some of the locations in my home where I am displaying photos and memory related items. Part 2 is an initial look at my Library Albums. Use the chapter markers to find your way around!

Ideas 💡

Have you heard the idiom, So many ideas—so little time? It’s ALL of the ideas out there (and in my head) that motivate me to keep my system running smoothly. When you can put your hands on pictures and images then you can act on inspiration and follow-thru on unique and meaningful ideas.

This week as we begin the transition from photo management and workflow to the organization and display of pictures and completed pages, projects and stories, I have 3 tasks for you—and they’re not so much tasks as they are opportunities to consider your options and make some initial commitments.

➡️ Week 9 Tasks

  1. Decide what you will do (ongoing) to LIVE with your digital images. How will you and others spend more time with them? Take action (if you haven’t already) to make this happen.

  2. Take stock of scrapbook albums in your home. How are they organized and displayed. What would you like to do to make these stories more inviting and/or accessible? If you need new albums or page protectors or display items—and you are able to purchase them now, then start shopping!

  3. Do you want to create and use navigation pages? What would they look like? How many will you need initially? Make this decision and take steps to creating or adding these pages with a personal E.Q.

  4. (Optional) Print the Home Worksheet and conduct your own home tour looking for opportunities to do Task #1. As you look at rooms in your home as part of a library of memories, are there things you want to change, move around, update or refresh?

❤️ The possibilities really are endless! You may have to loosen your grip on a few outmoded methods—but in exchange you’re claiming freedom that will allow you to really have FUN curating, sharing, creating, displaying and ENJOYing all of it.

I can’t wait to discuss your plans and ideas and set you loose to make them happen!
