October 2025
More than a Story!
Sometimes we read a book just for FUN, but sometimes we need to go deeper—to uncover the story’s core message and expose its universal truths. A book’s theme is the narrative takeaway that transforms a reading experience from just entertainment to personal reflection, meaning and an emotional connection. Books we keep, books we LOVE—favorite books—reach us with a resonant theme!

The patterned fields you see from an airplane are the result of agricultural techniques designed to conserve water and soil. These patterns—often consisting of circles and squares are a byproduct of both historical and modern farming methods. Fascinating!
I’ve often thought that these patterns are reminiscent of a quilt patterns—which were also originally designed with conservation in mind.
How can you use bits, pieces and scraps this month to creatively conserve—or simply “harvest” paper products you have on hand?!
🧡 Six Stories in Six Words 🧡
At the end of July, in our Story Coaching session I committed YOU to telling SIX additional stories—each with a SIX word summary—before the end of this year. You can download a FUN story tracker for this effort HERE. I’m inviting you to bring one or two of these stories to our October Story Coaching session at the end of the month—let’s keep the sharing going!
Sketch This
This sketch can be easily adapted to ANY theme.
There’s room for multiple photos, a simple title and journaling to share your ‘BIG idea.’
Adaptable elements are waiting to be customized with color and pattern. Additionally. you can use a mirrored sketch to create a 2-page spread!
Working On Video
I’ve been working on my boys’ school portraits—scanning and prepping for a framed display. What pictures would you like to frame or what frames do you need to refresh in your home? Why not add a doable framing project to your fall list!
Story Process Video
This month I dealt myself a story about my grandmother, Addie. Tucked away in a writer’s notebook—for years—I’ve had a little interview I conducted with her. I finally located and preserved it on a scrapbook page—and it feels like a very happy thing! REMEMBER 💛 In 2025, you're invited to join me each month in creating a Story Process page! Everyone who posts a finished page to our Live Your Story Facebook group, will be entered in a drawing to receive Happy Mail from me!
If you need a StoryDeck, it’s HERE.
I hope you’ll FALL in love with this new season, because there is so much to do and love together. But please take time to notice and relish the change. Relax and read with something warm (and potentially pumpkin spicy.) Breathe it all in and be grateful.
We are gearing up for LOTS of new holiday memories, so make time now to be still and intentional. The most important thing you can plan, prepare or bring is always a grateful, centered YOU!
I am always eager to hear your comments and questions. 🎃 Feel free to reach out anytime! stacy@stacyjulian.com
