May 2025
Stories take us places …
I’m traveling for the first 11 days of May. I’ll miss celebrating International Scrapbook Day with you, but I’m excited to go and revisit a favorite and familiar place, meet up with a dear friend, experience new locations and make NEW memories!
This month we continue our emphasis on the settings of our stories. I hope you’ll intentionally consider the places that have influenced who you are, what you do and how you live. We are not always aware of how surroundings shape us and yet a careful examination, understanding and description of the setting is essential to understanding and crafting personal narratives.

Our spring project is making easy, FUN mini books! In May we are reviewing the Persnickety Box app and subscription—AND—for those subscribed, making plans to fill up boxes! Come work on setting up supportive albums and sending these orders to print. Don’t forget, our 2025 Project Overview is HERE. Put on your de-cluttering hat. In May we are spring cleaning and stash-busting. You’ll need a BIG box with a lid and a can-do (let-go) attitude! Many of you reported having too much stuff, not enough space and/or a lack of product and supply organization. This coaching session is for YOU!
Do It Together: Available now! Replay and Recap Email
Let’s make an alphabetical list of our most favorite and frequented places—where life and stories play out—then we’ll decide how to write about and use this information in our creating.

Truly, happiness is symbolized with YELLOW, but in May we’re not quite ready for the blazing heat of a July sun. Instead, we’re hungry for a shy, but fresh and clear invitation to optimism.
Fresh Canary might be a little timid, but it is mentally alert and ready to go. It pairs easily with LOTS of other colors—and this friendly disposition is what we will celebrate with our May contest. You can either find and photograph Fresh Canary paired with other colors or pair it with colors of your choosing to create a card or page.
Post what you discover to our Facebook page by May 31st for a chance to win some happy mail from Stacy!

Sketch This has replaced Design Inspired. You can look forward to a printable card and sketch each month and I’ll share a few ideas for how to adapt the sketch or borrow from it.
Since 💛 May is for Cameras I am giving you a sketch for photos—up to sixteen on this 12x12 spread. I love the mix of larger and small pictures, perfect for travel or to document a BIG event—think graduations and weddings—the kind we often celebrate in the spring.
You might even document YOU and your love of taking pictures!
Working On Video
Working On has replaced Love Your Library for the rest of the year. This new series is simply me involving you as I ‘work on’ a variety of memory-related efforts. After nearly two years of ignoring them, I’ve cleaned out and tidied both my brown and white color bins—come watch how it happened!
Story Process Video
Follow along as I create a 12x12 story about a little family I do NOT know—with a connection to someone I love!
REMEMBER 💛 In 2025, you're invited to join me each month in creating a Story Process page! Everyone who posts a finished page to our Live Your Story Facebook group, will be entered in a drawing to receive Happy Mail from me!
If you need a StoryDeck, it’s HERE.
We choose HOW to interact with each other and our world and how we treat others really matters. Scrapbooking brings us together. It has taught us how to be present and is a reminder to notice and be grateful for the small things.
There is much division and contention in public discourse today, but these things never lead to inspired solutions. What does? Curiosity and love!
💛 Laughter and Lemonade Day is on our calendar this month as a reminder that we have the power to create friendly, encouraging interaction—we are memory makers and storytellers. What a gift!
I am always eager to hear your comments and questions. 💛 Feel free to reach out anytime! stacy@stacyjulian.com
Did YOU know? Members of Live Your Story now have EASY access to past courses, like 20in20 and Photo Freedom.
When you login, look for these on the list of options!
