A Place for Creating…

Imagine a crafting space with light streaming in from a window and filled with things like papers and photographs, books and plants and a place to sit, be grateful and create. I asked an AI image generator to help me visualize just such a place. Of course I asked for some navy blue—*per our November Hue & Me*—and the above image is the result. **This is NOT a real space.** This month I’m inviting you to pause and appreciate the spaces and places that surround you in *your* home. These places are real and they are filled with memories. Let’s recognize and be grateful for the gift of ***creating in places*** and let’s do something to document this wonderful gift.

Hue & Me

I’m known for loving bright, fully saturated colors, but I also love more subdued, mixed hues that communicate deep emotion and meaning. Stormy Coast is a combination of such colors. I bet you can easily visualize these two hues—a warm navy and a light cloudy blue—in a natural setting. But, the important question is what they convey for you and how you might let them inspire you in November!

Design Inspired

As a pattern, plaid—initially and more accurately tartan—is one of the most widespread, recognizable and ubiquitous designs in the world. Originating in the highlands of Scotland, associated with British heritage and with fashion brands like Burberry and yet still somehow always hip or hipster-ish. Plaid fabrics and flannels are often associated with an outdoorsy feel, stemming from their use by lumberjacks and railroad workers. You likely have a sleeping bag lined with plaid or perhaps a high-end pursed wrapped in it.

Search plaid in your camera roll this month and see if you can use it in your storytelling and/or scrapbooking.

As we rotate through Photo Freedom curriculum, it’s our turn to spend some time with our collection of finished stories and do some album care. Watch this video and come to WWW with 1, 2 or 3 specific needs you’ll be working on.
