March 2025

Lucky is knowing the Story!

A strong sense of identity, family connection, resilience and empathy. These are the gifts we give when we know and retell our stories—over and over again—we create shared experiences as we hear, tell and collectively shape a generational narrative. Who are we, where did we come from and how do we live and help in this world? 🍀 Stories are the BEST kind of Luck!

Hue & Me

The tradition of pinching people on St. Patrick’s Day most likely originated in the 1700s in the U.S. based on the notion that curious and naughty leprechauns like to pinch whatever they can see. IF you wear green they cannot see you—therefore when they are out and about, it is advised and protective to wear green.

I LOVE this bright leprechaun green paired with both black and white that are the tiniest bit green—perhaps in an effort to avoid being pinched—ha!

But, did you know that fully saturated primary and secondary colors, love the contrast of black and white? It’s true. Strong contrast is grounding, especially with monochromatic schemes.

Do some Don’t Pinch creating this month and be sure to share what results in our Facebook Group!

Love Your Library Video

We’re at the END of another annual review of Photo Freedom, so we are celebrating our efforts and exercising our inner storyteller with an M&M Challenge! I promise it will be both delicious and FUN—If you’re up for it, my page sketch is HERE!

Story Process Video

February was BUSY for me, which is why I love Story Deck cards. They are rails that help me focus—even when I need to simplify—so that I can create pages and tell stories! REMEMBER 💚 THIS YEAR you're invited to join me in creating a monthly Story Process page! Everyone who posts a finished page to our Live Your Story Facebook group, will be entered in a drawing to receive Happy Mail from me! The original StoryDeck, is HERE.

Do you know how to find a 4-leaf clover?
You visit a clover patch and stare down at hundreds of tiny plants, until your eyes are accustomed to the triangle pattern of a three-leaf clover. Once this happens, you slowly scan the field until you visually bump into a square shape, which indicates 4 leaves!

I’m NOT making this up—you can learn more HERE.

The experts say there are far too many clover to look at each one. Standing back to scan a whole patch is an easier way. I LOVE this and I think there is application here for our photos. In case you haven’t noticed, we have too many photos! Gone are the days when we could expect ourselves to scrapbook all or even most of them. However, with a doable and personalized workflow, we can create a highlights reel—of favorites—and then stand back and scroll through looking for those that pop out as truly unique and special.

This month think how truly LUCKY we are to have access to digital images and tools so that we can tell our stories!

I am always eager to hear your comments and questions. 💚 Feel free to reach out anytime! stacy@stacyjulian.com

Did YOU know? Members of Live Your Story now have EASY access to past courses, like 20in20 and Photo Freedom.
