Spring is here!
Welcome to April AND the beginning of another year of sharing and learning together in Live Your Story—I am so delighted to be creating this community together with YOU. The older I get, the more I believe the words of Indian philosopher, Jidda Krishnamurti to be true, “There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.”
For most of us, spring is waking up nature with new life and color. For all of us, a new season means change and change, if you let it will invite curiosity, learning and growth. I choose curiosity and learning with you—let’s go!

Hue & Me
How FUN that I get to come up with color combinations and give them each a name. When I think about a spring green coming together with two purple friends and another dark, but trustworthy companion, I know there are some unknowns and perhaps a little mystery, but it’s that touch of bright optimistic enthusiasm that will bridge the gap to connection and an abiding friendship. Here there is a beautiful equality and balance where promises are kept!

Design Inspired
Ah. Food, glorious food. It’s essential of course, but it’s also deliciously fun, colorful and flavorful and in April you’re invited to remember and prepare your favorites, explore new tastes and photograph ALL of it. You’re also invited to share a FAVORITE RECIPE over in our Facebook group—but be sure to share at least one memory associated with your recipe.
It’s “Foodimentary” my friends, whether it’s peanut butter and jelly, empanadas or Eggs Benedict, April celebrates it.
Memory, tradition and culture all speak a unique food dialogue and this is the month to celebrate it together!
Love Your Library Video
This year as we move through the Photo Freedom course, I’ll be focusing on a mobile application of core principles. The more comfortable we become managing images and content on our always-with-us devices, the more we will be able to do in the in-between moments. 💜 Don't forget to watch the EQ video HERE!
Story Process Video
Barbra Otten is with us this month, sharing her Story Process for a 12x12 spread, using the same StoryDeck cards that I used. I loved the conversation she features and I’m reminded how much we learn by observing each other’s creative processes. 💜 IF you would like to record and share a Story Process video in 2024, please use this Google Form to sign up.

As we dive into a new month and a new season of learning, I’m going to remember what physiologist, Claude Bernard wrote, “It is what we know already that often prevents us from learning.”
Learning for me has often required me to do some unlearning. So, let’s consider what we think we know that might be playing interference for what we’d like to know—and be able to do—better!
