Today I’m sharing two of my FAVORITE enhanced oatmeal recipes—in a PDF you can print—and a FUN little video I created with my Live Your Story membership …

My new FAVORITE breakfast is what I call enhanced oatmeal. This is like a healthy makeover of my 1970s instant oatmeal—remember the variety box with all the yummy (sugary) flavor combinations?

Perhaps you’ve seen recipes like these on actual foodie blogs or Pinterest. I was first exposed to this by my sister, Darci who recommended Clean Simple Eats for their approach to managing macros. I started following them on instagram and while I don’t count every macro I put in my mouth, I have become much more aware and awareness is always a good thing!

I have definitely become a fan of several of their products—especially their protein powders and their green drink mixes!

During the spring 2023 season of Live Your Story, I encouraged members to create an everyday life montage video. This is because video is now SO EASY to capture and we all do it on our smart phones, but most of us never do anything with these random clips. HOWEVER, with some basic video editing skills you can string them together and tell quite a STORY!

During the month of May, I captured a snippet or two of video most days and then starting in June, I brought everything together with some music. I just recently shared my final product over on YouTube, but I’m also embedding it here!

Our BEST MEMORIES are moments that play out in the nothing-special-hear everyday stuff and that’s exactly what I set out to capture and preserve—including my FAVORITE oatmeal.

🥣 Watch—it’s in here!

I am and will continue to be a fan of traditional scrapbooks, but I am loving the chance to expand my storytelling with simple video projects like this one!

We’re kicking off a brand new SUMMER season in Live Your Story this week. Our live New Month Meet-Up is Wednesday and YOU are invited to come check it out and discover a super supportive community that will help you do something with SOME of your photos!
