October, November & December

Welcome to Fall 2023

In October, November and December our theme is HOME.

I’m so excited this season to focus some energy, interest, time and storytelling on the topic and concept of home. Regardless of age, home is where we should feel most comfortable and supported. It is a gathering place, safe shelter, and sanctuary, providing escape from the pressures and intrusiveness of the world. Home isn’t just a house with roof and walls, it is also your country of origin, your city and state of residence—your school’s team and anywhere you identify and contribute to a sense of belonging.

What would happen if we were more playful, productive and present with and inside our homes?
How would we clean, organize, relax, entertain, eat, play and sleep?

Rote the Quote

Each season we work on memorizing powerful and positive words.
Before each live session, we read and eventually recite (until they are rote) the words of a quote.

Home isn’t where you are from, it’s where you find light when all grows dark.
— Pierce Brown

Let’s READ a Book!

My Hygge Home by Meik Wiking

During this autumn season, we will be exploring the concept of Danish hospitality and home known as Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga.)

You might want to read or listen to this book—OR—any other book you can find or check out on this topic.

Book Club is scheduled for Saturday, December 30th at 9AM PT
You can watch the replay on YouTube

“Now more than ever before, our homes need to be a place of comfort, a place to feel safe when we shut the door. Our homes are where we can truly be ourselves, unwind, and create special memories with our family and friends.” Meik Wiking

Let’s MAKE a project!

Gift Album

This is the season of gift preparation and giving. At best, most gifts are used up, worn out or forgotten in just weeks or months. In October, November and December, we will plan, prepare and create a photo album gift to be shared with one or more people—a gift that will preserve personal thoughts, feelings and stories to help those you love reminisce and celebrate experiences and relationships that matter most!

Examples of custom covers available through chatbooks.com

We’ll start with a map to outline purpose, content and design and we’ll use EASY digital tools and affordable printing options to produce a final and thoughtful result you’ll be proud of.
