Stacy shared her progress with Project 24. She a January photo she loves along with its story as well as her monthly featured person — hubby Geoff — and the questions she had him answer last month. Each month she is planing on spotlighting a family member with the same series of questions and photo prompts. Karen shared that she is using this time for accountability and as a check in for the a project she has been wanting to complete and stories she has wanted to share. She is working on a 2023 year in review. Joelle shared that she has had a busy start to 2024 and hopes to start gaining momentum as she focuses on gathering answers from familiy members to various questions she gave them. She is hoping to begin compiling stories of the people she loves for her Project 24 and even turning one of her photo prompts into a game. Maria shared that she is working on two processes for 2024. The first being an album started with favorite photos and stories and also looking for ways to documents special days — January 24th for new beginnings and PEANUT BUTTER since it was national peanut butter day! Brenda shared that she finished up a book on her mother’s life last year and after discovering additional photos she decided to continue this project for her Project 24. She will also be working on a parallel book about herself. She shared what she plans for her process is sorting through slides as she looks for the ones she wants to use to tell her stories. She does digital photo books and loves that this allows her to provide copies to family members. Sue shared that she is focusing on two layouts a month hoping that she is complete for P24. She is focusing on a favorite picture along with a monthly title embellishment her friend creates, and lots of story telling. Christy shared that she is doing a travelers notebook with pocket pages to create a book Things You Might Not Know About Me book — to share the important things she wants her loved ones to know about her. Jennifer shared her thoughts as she figures out what this project will look like for her. One photo from family members each month. Her February prompt was for each family member to take and send photo of where you are. She has been so excited with the response from her family, but is still deciding on how she will format her project. She is also hoping to include some layouts based on some topics she’s chosen to create her 2nd layout each month. Pam shared that she is thrilled to have discovered some digital pattern paper — being inspired after watching this month’s Do It Together. She’s eager to use this in her ongoing genealogy project and that gives her so much more creative freedom. She has had the most fun she has had in years while continuing her extensive scrapbooking project. She loved getting to play! Mary shared a wonderful reminder that you can’t do it all and not to get caught up in comparing what you’re doing to what everyone else is doing. Use what people are sharing to set the rales so that you can find what works for you and find joy in what you have chosen, without feeling like you’re missing out. Always a great reminder! Lynda shared that she has revisited her Trello board and is excited to be able to orgaize all the ideas and tasks she would like to tackle this year and be able to view them all in one place. Checklists make her happy! She also shared a super fun app she discovered that turns photos into a watercolor painting called Waterlogue. Veronica shared her monthly photo layouts of her family to help Ann with how to create layouts for her Project 24. She shared that she uses section page protectors by We R Memory Keepers that include a space for stories and stories/journaling as well as 4x6 photos spaces. She also sometimes includes smaller pages that can be sandwiched in between, as space is needed.
