Before you make the decision whether or not to watch, know that much of this recording is an overview and practice for using Zoom for our NEW 2nd Saturday open work parties—our first one is THIS SATURDAY, January 11th, from 10AM to 2PM Pacific time. Here’s the recap of what you need to know …

• These sessions DO NOT require registration

• To JOIN in—at anytime during the 4 hours—you will click on the link that is listed with our scheduled sessions on the January page, or you can click the link that I will put in the reminder email

• You will need a PASSWORD, which is LYS25

• You will be able to come and go as you are able

• When you join, there will be 4 breakout rooms

• You will be able to join any room and also leave that room and join another at any point during the 4 hours

• We will NOT be recording 2nd Saturday sessions

BREAK OUT ROOMS are as follows …

1. Finisher’s Wanted

2. Family History Stories

3. Personal Writing

4. Start Something NEW

Again, there is no “late” on Saturday. You can come at anytime during the 4 hour session. IF you come after the first 10-15 minutes, you will look for the … (three dots, labeled “More”) in your Zoom menu. Click those dots and select “Breakout Rooms” from the pop-up. This is where you will see the 4 rooms to choose from.

Once you’re in a room, you’ll see a Breakout Rooms icon (box with 4 squares) in your Zoom menu. Clicking this icon will allow you to “Leave” the room you are in and choose another—or leave the session altogether.

😀 I anticipate some confusion as we get comfortable with this NEW session, but I’m confident we will work through it all.
