Today is Hugging Day

It’s a thing and it happens every year on January 21st. In Lesson 1 I introduced you to the drastic downsizing that can happen with daily deleting.

There are so many FUN and doable ways to delete a few images on the daily. The search tool 🔍 in Apple Photos is your friend. Practice using it until it becomes second nature.

If you haven’t already, search “January 20” and “January 21” and see if you can do some digital downsizing.

Another way to use this AMAZING search feature is to search an object or subject. Since today is 🧡 HUGGING DAY I’m inviting you to search “hugging” in your Photos app.

Intelligent search will do its best to pull up images of people hugging, so that you can scroll, review AND delete images you don’t need to keep anymore!

One thing that has people frustrated with iOS18 is the seemingly inability to pinch and zoom after search in Photos.

There’s a FIX for this frustration and I’ll be demonstrating it to you during our Q&A session this week.

Quick Tip

In Settings, scroll to Accessibility.
Look for “Zoom” and make sure this feature is toggled “On”
With Zoom turned on, you’ll be able to double-tap 3 fingers to zoom in!
