In Lesson 5 I talk a bit about Shared Albums. These can be wonderful tools for pooling photos from 2 or more people during and after a shared experience. Hereās a few things to remember:
The contents of these albums are stored in iCloud
You must turn on Shared Albums in Settings > Photos
In order to add an image from a Shared Album to your Photos Library, you can tap the share icon and select āSave Imageā
Shared Albums have a total file size of 1GB, so there are size limits for photos and videos.
I think Shared Albums are fantastic when friends and family may want to be choosy with the images each selects to keepālike at a family reunion, a soccer tournament or school field trip.
When you want to deliberately offer a small or large group of images without any loss in quality, you can select those images, tap the share icon and then look for the āCopy iCloud Linkā in the list of actions.
ANYONE who has the link can access & download photos for 30 days.
Just for FUN ⦠Iāve created an iCloud link to a handful of photos in my Rainbow album. Give this a try! Click or tap the rainbow imageāORāclick HERE to view and download (if you want) some or all of these images!
