Please Remember: The ultimate goal behind an organized and well-managed Photos Library is NOT just to ‘save’ photos from demise or oblivion, but to LIVE with them, to ENJOY and SHARE them.

📲 Lesson 5

I kicked off Lesson 5 by asking YOU this question: How do you want to be able to SHARE your photos? SHARE is the final of our Photo Freedom principles and it is at the heart of all our efforts to learn features and manage photos.

In 2025 as AI enhanced tools are getting better and better and we have many options and opportunities for sharing photos and telling stories.

• The Share icon (box with an upward pointing arrow) gives us access to a Share Sheet, which is a list of available apps and actions for doing something with an image or selected images.

• You can customize your Share Sheet options and create a list of Favorites that you want to appear at the top of your list.

• Shared Albums are a wonderful way for two or more people to share photos. This is a feature that must be toggled on in your Settings. Shared Albums are a shared space in iCloud.

• A group of photos, a video or even an entire album can be shared via an iCloud link, which is also the best way to share outside the Apple universe. iCloud links temporarily store media for easy downloading by anyone with the link.

• Memories is a feature that creates short videos from images in your library. IF you have a newer iPhone, you can customize these memories and even create your own.

LIVE photos is a capture that essentially creates a 3-sec video.

These images have FUN sharing options you can play with when you tap the “LIVE” expander arrow above an isolated image in your library. Play around with Loop, Bounce and Long Exposure.
