Utilities are good, useful things that benefit us—things we need—and that’s how we can think of Utilities in Apple Photos' Floating Toolbar too.

You can swipe left in the Utilities section to see a dynamic list of different views based on images in your Photos Library.

NOTE: You can also tap the expander (>) next to the word Utilities to see these filtered views in a long list.

This week we begin talking about how to prioritize our photos, so that we can elevate and find them easier and in new contexts and in our LIVE Q&A we’ll add “Pinned Collections” to our Floating Toolbar—spending time with your Utilities section is important to us moving on.

IF you do not see “Hidden” in your Utilities, you have an additional assignment. Go to Settings > Apps > Photos and then scroll down and toggle “Show Hidden Album” on.
