Wonderful World of Workflow

Workflow is simply the steps you consistently take to care for and curate your photos. How and when you purge, prioritize, categorize and share you photos is your workflow and the overall goal is for you to gain easy access and familiarity with digital and print images so that you can discover and preserve associated stories.

 

Consistently Inconsistent

As overwhelming as the move to digital photo organization and storage can be, Stacy stressed once again that the secret to success is being consistently inconsistent. In other words, the goal is NOT perfection. If you willβ€”even inconsistentlyβ€”do some deleting and some favoriting and some editing and some tagging/captioning, you will make progress!

Adapting and managing a monthly workflow is essential to organizing and curating our digital and printed photos. Workflow is what allows you to do something with some of your photos and NOT feel overwhelmed!

Stacy’s suggestion is to work on two years simultaneously. Always start with and work on the current year and then going back in time and choosing an additional year to focus onβ€”work month by month until you’ve finished that year and select another.

It is becoming easier and easier to make our mobile devices the hub of workflow activity. Of course personal adaption is key, but watch this workflow session to hear how Stacy has shifted her activity and trackingβ€”even since the updated 2021 Photo Freedom.
