Project Play
February 2025
 

Thursday’s Project Play was our seasonal project kickoff! In February and March we are creating an extended story. The goal for this session was to set up an album and checklist where you can both stage and track your photos and progress with this β€œbigger” project. Today is the day to make a final decision on a topic for your extended story and get clear about stories and connections that will be documented with each layer of your story.

To help us prepare for our final decision making, Stacy demonstrated using a few iOS tools that facilitate organization and execution. Then she used her own extended story plans to guide us in our own picture selection and memory storing.

We took the rest of the time to work on our own projects together. If you’re struggling to select your extended story, watching this session and setting it as your decision timer can help you get to your story writing even sooner! The goal for our next Project Play in March is to be on our way to finishing. March’s session will be longer, sot that we can wrap up final details and share!

More compelling stories require some staging and a plan. Once you’ve got these things in place, you can work here a little and there a little and make fantastic progress.

During our session I made progress on my 12x12 foundation page. Colors and products are selected and the photos I have access to are prepped and ready to print. I’ve got a Reminders list set up to track small to-dos. I’m at a point where if needed, I can work in 15 to 30 minutes chunks of time.
