Document a BIG celebration with a BIG photo

For our final Do It Together session of this Spring Season, we worked on the page prompt for June. Those participating brought their BIG photos and we watched Stacy demonstrate how one BIG picture all by itself can be used to tell a BIG story.

Stacy answered a question she had received from LYS Member Joyce about what to do with older original photos and it prompted a great discussion about how now that we can digitally preserve them, we can bravely use them (ie crop, embellish, even write on them!) for scrapbooking projects and use them to tell stories! The goal is to do something with some of our photos and tell beautiful stories. Stacy noted, nobody wants original photos in a file, detached from stories.

There is also a shift happening and β€œIf we will manage our digital library, it's becoming way more of a go to in terms of enjoying and sharing photos.”

This allows us to simplify the scrapbooking process by telling important stories in a few pages instead of a full book, which can sometimes feel daunting.
