You’ve Been Egged!
Years ago—2014 and before the advent of Ring cameras—an unknown someone rang our doorbell. When we opened the door, we found a rolled up piece of paper on the welcome mat. This paper directed us to look for a dozen plastic Easter eggs hidden near our front porch. It read, “You’ve Been Egged” and went on to explain that eleven of these eggs would contain candy treats, but one would be empty as a reminder of Jesus Christ’s resurrection and the empty tomb.
Such a FUN idea, right?
This year we have two new-ish neighbors, with little children (and how I miss little children) so I thought it would be FUN to ‘egg’ them. The challenge: I couldn’t remember what the rolled up paper said. I vaguely remember that the words rhymed, but a Google search didn’t find much. I decided to ask ChapGPT to write me a poem—see screenshot …
I’m not sure I’ll ever get used to the magic of AI—in lickety split action—creating exactly what I need!
Since I want to keep track of this for future years, I’m posting here to my blog—but I’ll pin this too, so others can discover and use it. Here’s to your Easter preparations, celebrations and worship—may they be filled with gratitude and JOY! Thanks for stopping by!
