20in20 Sneak Peak

LOTS of fun, project-loving souls have begun to gather in the 20in20 classroom and over on our private Facebook group. Class doesn’t begin until January 3rd, but there are people to meet and things to do and think about—in other words, I’m SUPER excited and decided I wanted to share a little sneak peak into what’s there now and what I have planned in the first month of class.

First up, because I’m such a visual person, I painted me some wood clothespins and devised a banner that will help me SEE the progress I’m making. This 1 minute video walks you through the process …

After years of teaching online I’ve learned that I like to designate physical space for each class—sometimes this is as simple as a basket, bin or notebook. When a class is a YEAR long adventure as this one is, then I need to get really intentional about space—I have recently cleaned up a corner in my studio and hung up my clothespin banner. I have 2 shallow drawers for prepping/holding materials for future projects and BIG empty drawers in my cabinet—I’ll show you what’s going on there when class begins.

In 20in20 I’m the teacher/coach, but I’m also a participant, so I’ve got to be ready, not just with content, but with the overall presentation, flow and tracking of the content. I want to enjoy the process along with you! For me, color always plays a role ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜 and 20in20 is not an exception. I’ve assigned a specific color to each month for visual organization. The content I create (videos, worksheets, etc.) for each month will use that color. These are the details that will be very helpful when we're all trying to navigate the classroom and find what we’re looking for! It was when I was sketching all of this out, that I thought … how FUN would it be to also create a visual flowchart for my personal projects—using the same monthly colors. YIPEE. I think it’s so cute! I posted this at the beginning of December as a bonus/optional project for those already signed up. I will now be able to physically put my project sheets where they go along the banner/year.

In January, I will unveil the full project workflow that we’ll use to name, describe, rate, calendar and break down each project. ⏰

I am a BIG believer in the idea that we ALL have enough time to do what we want to do—but NOT in one day, one weekend or even one week. The secret lies in understanding how to use the (small chunks) of time we have and in having a plan to execute. The images you see here are just a few of the tools I’ll be giving you AND showing you how to use, so that you can spend MORE time with your photos, memories and stories and LESS time talking about the fact that you don’t have time. You have time. Trust me, you’ve got great ideas and I am going to help you unleash them, map them out and tackle them.

YOU are going to LOVE this process and you’re going to LOVE how you feel as you finish project after project. If you’ve been sitting on the fence about 20in20 jump off and jump in.

😊 I’ve got you!
