April 15 on the 15th

For today, April 15th, I'd like you to open the photos app on your smart phone and (starting from January 1, 2022) scroll through images. LOOK for images that you no longer need and DELETE them.

For me, these images are often the 3rd, 4th, or 5th similar (or duplicate) photo I took. I don't need 5—or more—pictures of essentially the same thing. If you’re like me and you snap pictures in quick succession, it’s ok. Today you are going to choose 1 or 2 in each group to keep.

You can do this.
⏰ Set a timer on your phone and go.

I also tend to snap pictures of things I want to remember, to spark an idea. I take pictures of products in stores and recipes or ideas/quotes in magazines and books. I grab screenshots—often! So, when I'm scrolling backwards, I delete most of these images. I’m giving you permission to do the same.

Deleting regularly—if not daily—is HUGE.

I call this purging (which isn't the most palatable word) but when we purge something, we are also choosing what we prize. We will more easily see, again, pictures we've taken that we truly want and we will be reminded of moments that matter.

💛 As you let go of what you don’t need, you are automatically designing a better scroll back experience!

When your 15-minute timer goes off, ✋🏽STOP

That’s all for today.
Energizing, right?

Feel free to “Rinse and REPEAT” but just once a day. Spend 15 minutes a day over the next two weeks, and you’ll be ready for our first Story Coaching on the 29th. We are going to celebrate the first season of 2022—all purged and pretty!
